Blockchain is the ingenious invention of a mysterious entity called Satoshi Nakamoto. In very simple terms, blockchain allows digital information to be shared, without the ability to modify the same transaction. Originally devised for cryptocurrency, or digital currency Bitcoin, the technical community is now finding and implementing other potential uses for this disruptive technology. This presentation will focus on business use cases and various industries where blockchain technology is currently being implemented.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
(1) explain what blockchain is and why it is needed;
(2) discuss how blockchain can be used in managing projects.
