#507 Ruthless Prioritization in Project Environments – Four Traps to Avoid

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Can your organization ruthlessly prioritize? In resource-constrained project environments, when everything is a priority, nothing can truly be a priority. A key leadership responsibility is to provide ruthless prioritization and leave no doubt as to the organization's top projects. This presentation addresses four common scenarios, the dangers they pose, and ways to manage through them and drive lasting change. This presentation will examine “The Compromise,” “Trying to Do It All,” “Analysis Paralysis,” and “All Projects Are Top Priority” - all common prioritization mistakes that cripple organizations that fail to ruthlessly prioritize their projects.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
(1) identify organizational and project-based obstacles to ruthless prioritization and consider corrective action steps;
(2) arrange discussions and processes to improve and execute project prioritization and constrained resource allocation.
