#345 Building the Airplane While Flying: Managing Change in a Changing Environment

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Both projects and leaders need to be fast, flexible, data-driven, and focused on both the short and long term. They must also deliver outcomes during prolonged change and uncertainty. With increasingly global, virtual, complex, and nimble organizations, we need an updated way to effectively engage users in large-scale transformations even amidst ongoing changes in project scope, strategic objectives, organizational context, and industry trends. We will share communication and engagement techniques to encourage higher acceptance and adoption.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
(1) employ techniques to surface early pockets of resistance and set expectations that “backward” steps are part of a cycle;
(2) explain how to communicate with various user groups and team members, using the language of probabilities, as facts change.
