This session will highlight trends for career outcomes and education in project management. Using academic research, particularly with regard to the career paths of students, this session will provide insights into the skills students and emerging professionals need, and how education at the college and university level can provide those skills through excellent teaching and accreditation of project management programs.  Join us for a presentation on the research followed by a discussion of the future of project management education.  This session will conclude with a presentation of the Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC) awards for accreditation.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
(1) describe current trends in academia and their impact on the project management profession;
(2) discuss how to apply the research to support the needs of the next generation of project management students and professionals.
