#418-EXH Hands-On Lab: The Cognitive Schema - Team Dynamics for Leading Change and Solving Problems
**Be sure to bring your earphones and your fully charged mobile device to listen in on the presentation!

This activity will provide an opportunity to practice useful skills to strengthen your PM toolkit; seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Come learn strategies to help project teams congeal and function effectively. Diversity in terms of motivation, cognitive process, and social environments is collectively impactful on the cohesion and effective functioning of teams. By way of a cognitive function schema, Kirton’s theory breaks cognition into three domains: cognitive effect, cognitive affect, and cognitive resources. Respectively, these denote cognitive process, motivation, and learning. Considering these as key factors in predicting the cohesion and effective functioning of teams, participants will explore their impact on motivation, behavior, and ultimately performance.
