Aliki Courmanopoulos, M.Phil, PMP, is Director of Marketing and Communications for PMI-Montreal.  She has a masters diploma in Communications and Media Strategy from the University of Sherbrooke. She has presented at PMI LIM events in New Orleans, Orlando, Phoenix, Barcelona and San Diego where she shared tools and techniques for promoting chapter news via social media and how to create unique content that encourages online engagement. In 2017, she left Montreal to fulfill her dream of traveling around the world and leveraged PMI relationships to engage with local chapters and community leaders in over 20 countries (www.alikienroute.com). These meetings shed light on many of the issues shared by chapters around the world, important lessons about how culture and politics affect membership, and insights into what motivates volunteers .  Aliki believes that Project Management is a skill that can be used at all levels to help bring social projects to life, and a grassroots approach to sharing Project Management expertise will bring new energy and new members to PMI chapters.
