Senior Systems Engineer
Douglas Herr has a bachelor’s degree in general engineering and a master’s degree in industrial engineering. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP)® and a PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP)® certification holder, and provides consultancy to the explosive division in the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects agency. Mr. Herr has over 35 years of results-oriented project and program leadership experience in both military and civilian environments. He has experience as an operations research analyst, specializing in models and simulations and the use of artificial intelligence in models.
He has over 12 years’ experience deploying the largest radio frequency identification network in the world to optimize the U.S. Department of Defense global supply chain system. Mr. Herr has led and built multi-cultural teams in Asia and Southern Africa, and made program decisions based on client and business objectives.
His areas of expertise include program and project management for IT services federal contracts, international development and supply chain logistics with specialized training in munitions material management.
