Sarah Leslie is a senior project manager at TEAGUE, an industrial design firm based in Seattle, WA, USA. She was born and raised in the UK until she moved to the U.S. with her family at age six. Sadly, no trace of an English accent remains, but she maintains a connection to her roots by indulging in quintessentially British pastimes such as drinking lots of tea and complaining about the weather. She spent the rest of her childhood in New Jersey until she managed to escape the suburbs by heading north to attend Boston University (BU).

After graduating from BU with a bachelor’s degree in communications, Ms. Leslie moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career in television production where she landed an entry-level job at Discovery Communications. During her six years at the company, she advanced to associate producer with credits on programs such as TLC’s "Cake Boss" and Discovery Channel’s "Shark Week."

While enjoying steady professional growth at Discovery, she realized that she lacked the creative storytelling ability to become a great producer. She did, however, excel at managing deliverables, schedules, and all the associated details. Ultimately, she made the decision to leave Discovery (and the unbearable D.C. summers) and pursue new opportunities in the milder climate of the Pacific Northwest.  

Once in Seattle, she leveraged her skills and took steps to adjust her career path to the field of project management. She began at TEAGUE as a project coordinator in 2013 and immediately knew she had made the right choice. Through her work as a project manager at a design firm, Ms. Leslie is making the best use of her talents while immersed in the creative culture she enjoys.  In 2017, she took another step in her professional journey by earning her Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.
