Dr. Tinesha M. Woods-Wells is a learning and development and human resources professional with 15+ years of experience leading large-scale training and development programs and projects. She has a proven track record of delivering innovative, people-oriented solutions across public education, nonprofits, and corporate training sectors. Dr. Woods-Wells has a passion for developing effective training programs that enhance employee engagement and onboarding success. In her current role as a learning strategy consultant for Discover, she works with business leaders, subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology teams to ensure successful execution of enterprise-wide, culture-related training strategy. Accordingly, she leverages her learning expertise and adeptness in relationship building to translate complex learning needs into effective learning solutions and measurement strategies to be implemented across the organization.

Dr. Woods-Wells holds a doctoral degree in leadership development and social change from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in teaching from Dominican University, and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Kentucky. She holds certifications in educational research encompassing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including Kirton’s Adaption-Innovation Theory and Inventory and SHRM Essentials of HR Management, and is a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification holder. In terms of research, she focuses on social theories with respect to underrepresented populations, culture, and diversity awareness in leadership development, as well as problem solving and critical thinking as they relate to leadership and managing change. She works to foster a change in prevailing beliefs about underrepresented populations, facilitate varied narratives on achieving social mobility, and to ensure inclusion of diverse cognitive perspectives in organizational change management efforts.
